If the keyboard does not appear in HaloChat, the issue is typically related to system input method management rather than the app itself.

HaloChat does not control system keyboard behavior.


Android Devices

Keyboard functionality is managed entirely by the Android system.

If the keyboard does not appear:

  • Go to Settings → System → Languages & Input → Keyboard
  • Confirm your default keyboard is enabled
  • Switch to the system default keyboard temporarily
  • Ensure it is not restricted by security apps
  • Disable split-screen, floating window, or aggressive power-saving modes

If the keyboard fails in all apps, the issue likely lies with the Android system or input method.


iOS Devices (iPhone / iPad)

On iOS, keyboards are fully managed by the system.

If the keyboard does not appear:

  • Go to Settings → General → Keyboard
  • Confirm keyboard settings are enabled
  • If using third-party keyboards, tap the 🌐 icon to switch
  • If abnormal behavior persists, reset keyboard dictionary:

Path:
Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset → Reset Keyboard Dictionary

This clears learned words but does not affect app data or accounts.

If the issue occurs in all apps, it is likely a system-level problem rather than a HaloChat issue.
