HaloChatHelp Center

HaloChat allows temporary sessions and flexible group creation. Because of this, non-contacts may invite users into chats or groups without requiring mutual connections.

This feature is designed to support open communication and Web3-style decentralized networking.

If you do not want to be added to groups or contacted by strangers:

How to prevent stranger invitations

  1. Go to Settings → Privacy → Conversations
  2. Disable “Allow to be searched / Global Search Visibility”

After disabling:

  • Strangers cannot find you through search
  • Temporary session invitations are restricted
  • You are less likely to be added to unfamiliar groups

This setting does not affect:

  • Existing contacts
  • Groups you have already joined
  • Normal communication within your trusted circle

HaloChat prioritizes privacy control while allowing users flexibility in anonymous interaction.
