All communications in HaloChat are protected with End-to-End Encryption (E2EE). Messages are encrypted on the sender’s device and decrypted only on the recipient’s device. Servers act solely as relay infrastructure and do not store or process plaintext content.

HaloChat utilizes modern symmetric encryption algorithms combined with secure key exchange protocols to ensure that data cannot be intercepted or tampered with during transmission.

Multimedia content — including files, images, and voice messages — is encrypted in the same manner. Based on user preferences, such content may be automatically deleted or cleared upon expiration.

User identities and wallet private keys are managed locally on user devices. HaloChat does not store wallet credentials, user profiles, or other personal data.

This architecture ensures that both messages and digital assets remain protected and under user control during transmission and storage. Servers cannot access chat histories or sensitive information, reinforcing data security and user privacy at the protocol level.
